Happy New Year, everyone!! We have had such a whirlwind year and what a perfect way to begin this new great year but a performance at Tulsa’s big NYE event! We froze our butts off during sound check, went home to get some warmer clothes, and came back to see the crowd growing as the night went on. We took the stage at 9:30pm and ended up playing our way to 11:45pm. The crowd was as it was above (probably bigger, they said there were 7,000 people in attendance). The event was partnered with Tulsa’s NBC affiliate, KJRH Channel 2, and they covered the event in between Carson Daly’s Times Square show. Angel and I were even interviewed for the 6 o’clock news to help promote (thanks, DAN!!). At 11:45pm, the news folks all gathered on the stage with the organizers and us and we counted it down. Then, they asked if I would lead off “Auld Lang Syne” and with Angel by my side, we sang it with all our hearts. This has to be one of my favorite New Year’s Eve. Friends, family, and getting to entertain everyone on TV equals AWESOME!:) I know we will have just as big a year (BIGGER!) in 2010 so keep a look out for us as we start our touring schedule.
